Specific Job Functions:
- Effectively apply problem-solving techniques and makes business sound decisions.
- Practice effective cost control procedures for all operating, maintenance, and supply costs.
- Prepare a store layout and effectively conduct store inventory and cycle counts.
- Develops and applies floor standards, visual merchandising, customer service standards, and sales techniques.
- Analyze the store business through company generated reports.
- Oversee store employees and their activities including schedules, time-off requests, commendations and disciplinary actions.
- Enforce established policies, procedures and job standards with appropriate and timely disciplinary actions.
- Practice effective cost control procedures for all operating, maintenance, and supply costs and is compliant with all Retail SOP Policies.
- Engage with store personnel though formal and informal observations by focusing on selling behaviors.
- Train, coach and supervise direct reports in all store activities, including achievement of assigned goals and tasks, compliance with store standards, policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in face-to-face recruiting efforts. Must have strong knowledge of hiring and onboarding.
- Effectively communicate objectives and priorities to the team.
- Provide leadership which fosters a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; promote quality hiring, training, and succession planning.
- Able to effectively lead and mentor a team through process and system changes.
