We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Co-op Student to join our team and contribute to the improvement of manufacturing processes for consumer electronics and home appliances. The role focuses on troubleshooting production equipment, developing work instructions, and designing manufacturing fixtures. You will have the chance to work closely with production teams and engineers, gaining practical experience in automation, assembly, and quality control. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn and contribute to real-world manufacturing challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot automation equipment and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on the production floor.
  2. Document work instructions and assembly procedures for manufacturing cells to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  3. Assist in the design and fabrication of production fixtures and test stands to improve assembly and testing efficiency.
  4. Support the creation of test plans for process validation and quality assurance.
  5. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
  6. Operate with autonomy on assigned tasks, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
  7. Assist in maintaining CAD models and technical drawings for production fixtures and assembly aids.
  8. Apply company protocols and industry standards to ensure quality and consistency in all manufacturing processes.
  9. Demonstrate flexibility in handling various manufacturing challenges and production needs.
  10. Treat all colleagues, including production personnel, with respect and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing principles and a desire to apply them in a hands-on environment.
  • Ability to develop clear, concise work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • A strong interest in automation, manufacturing processes, and production improvement.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus but not required.
