Position Summary
The Vice President, Learning and Talent Management is a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing enterprise-wide talent development strategies that drive organizational performance, employee engagement, and leadership excellence. This role oversees learning and development, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a holistic talent strategy aligned with business goals and future workforce needs.
- Lead the design and execution of leadership development programs, career pathing, and high-potential talent initiatives.
- Partner with senior executives to assess organizational capabilities and identify talent gaps.
Learning & Development
- Oversee the creation and delivery of scalable learning programs, including onboarding, compliance, technical training, and leadership development.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation through modern learning technologies and methodologies.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and ROI through data-driven insights and performance metrics.
Talent Management
- Lead enterprise-wide performance management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals.
- Drive succession planning and talent reviews to build robust leadership pipelines.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to support workforce planning and internal mobility.
Organizational Development
- Guide change management efforts to support transformation and growth initiatives.
- Facilitate organizational assessments and interventions to improve team dynamics and effectiveness.
- Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through talent development strategies.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of L&D and talent professionals.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology platforms supporting talent initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in learning, talent management, or organizational development.
- Proven success in leading enterprise-wide talent initiatives in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and performance consulting.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), talent analytics, and digital learning platforms.
