How you’ll make an impact:
As an Associate Director, Sports Partnership & Content Marketing, you will manage high-profile partnerships with leagues, teams, talent, and brands, and driving the marketing of live games, marquee events, and exclusive sports content through cross-functional collaboration within the SiriusXM organization and by leveraging partner activations and contractual assets to maximize reach and impact.
What you’ll do:
- Lead negotiation of net new or renewal partnership agreements with leagues and teams, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional internal and external partner stakeholders inclusive of programming, social, marketing, brand, talent, CRM, PR, analytics, business development, ad sales, and legal to ensure seamless fulfillment of contractual obligations and maximize partnership value.
- Develop, expand, and elevate relationships with key stakeholders across sports leagues, teams, and decision-makers at partner organizations to promote generation of incremental value from existing agreements.
- Represent the company at major sports industry events and conferences to network and build relationships with current and potential partners.
- Proactively identify market trends and new opportunities based on known objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to identify and recommend existing assets that can be leveraged to drive revenue and assist in the execution and fulfillment of those packages.
- Lead and inform the development of the framework, strategy, and approach for marketing plans and creative materials for O&O and partner media that drive content awareness, subscriber growth, and retention.
- Lead partner and sports programming activation planning from strategy to execution.
- Provide onsite support at live sports activations, games, and tentpole events and events as needed.
- Ongoing tracking and regular reporting on consumption and marketing performance to leadership and partners (where applicable), providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage the department and partner media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Mentor and develop team members to drive individual and collective growth.
What you’ll need:
- 7-10 years of experience with 5+ years in Partnership or Content Marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or Marketing a plus.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Experience working with sports partnerships required.
- Experience working with leagues is a plus.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to communicate such thoughts proactively, efficiently and effectively.
- Past experience with partnership strategy development and activation (measurement analysis is a plus).
- Solid understanding of both traditional and emerging media landscapes—including social media and content streaming.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive projects from concept to completion.
- Ability to operate with urgency and motivate those around you to do the same.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to travel and attend/work partner events as needed
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $125,100 to $141,500 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
