Our Florida offices are actively seeking a Geologist to join our team-oriented setting and advance their career. This position includes opportunities for technical report writing, non-routine monitoring and sampling, field construction oversight, and project management. Your responsibilities will be primarily performed in the Miami office, with some field work assignments.
How you can make an impact:- Preparing technical reports, including preparing tabulated data, charts, graphs, statistical analysis, and figures, using good time management.
- Performing quality control reviews of work products prepared by others.
- Preparing proposals and project budgets and participating in business development activities.
- Communicating project status, schedules, and compliance issues with clients, third parties, and regulatory agents.
- Managing small to mid-scale projects and providing support on larger projects.
- Performing routine and non-routine field activities including sample collection, construction oversight, and aquifer testing.
- Completing field and office assignments in a quality and safe manner.
- Pursuing technical improvement for self and company.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related science major required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related environmental experience including groundwater quality and contaminant transport required.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and GPS field equipment required.
- Completion of 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training preferred, or willingness to complete this training upon employment.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Progress towards Florida PG licensure preferred.
- Ability to perform fieldwork including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods of time required.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.
