About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is a Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. We currently have a career opportunity for a qualified and experienced Patient Services Assistant to join the Food & Environmental Department management team.
Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital
Full time position, 40 hours a week with the ability to cover dayshift and afternoon shifts.
Monday to Friday.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
A Certificate 3 Health Services, or equivalent, or working towards.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Proven ability to supervise and train staff to achieve appropriate standards.
Excellent customer service skill and attention to detail.
Commitment to staff development.
A commitment to policies & procedures in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and members of the public.
Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
Experience within a Hospital a must, Hotel or cleaning sector desirable.
Proven ability to supervise and train staff.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
