Position Overview:
As our Project Controls Analyst, Intermediate you will coordinate project-related timekeeping, manage pay runs for craft and contractor personnel, reconcile subcontractor invoices and customer time tracking, and prepare cost and sell reports for nuclear station projects. You will support periods of high project demand, collaborate closely with teams across Project Management, Project Controls, Project Accounting, Operations, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources, and help mentor junior analysts while reporting to the Commercial Operations Support Manager.

Your Day to Day as Project Cost Analyst, Intermediate:
Project Cost Management
- Set up and maintain project financials within BWXT’s project controls system
- Track project costs, labour hours, and progress; prepare cost, sell, and earned value reports
- Provide financial data and invoicing support for customer billing and internal reporting
Onboarding Support
- Prepare and coordinate hire-on packages for craft, contract, and subcontractor personnel
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all mandatory onboarding documentation
Payroll, Timekeeping & Reporting
- Manage daily time entry, weekly payroll processing, and reconciliation of time charges
- Maintain alignment between internal time tracking systems and customer time clock systems
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with EPSCA collective agreements
- Provide training and support to site supervisors on time reporting expectations
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a similar role with proven ability to work independently
- Eligible for Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) assessment; Bruce Power/OPG clearance desirable
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration preferred
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Knowledge of enterprise systems, project accounting, SOX compliance, and nuclear industry policies/regulations
- Familiarity with Canada/Ontario Labour Laws and customer site-specific training
- Skilled in process improvement and reducing manual tasks
Technical Expertise:
- Required: Microsoft Excel (2019+), Microsoft SharePoint (2013+)
- Desirable: Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate (Timberline), Coreworx Oncore, SAP
- EPSCA Collective Agreements
Security Clearance:
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $59,000 and $76,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
