Cafeteria Head Helper – Elmwood Elementary School

Nature of the Position:

Under the general direction of the Director of Business and direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Supervisor, the Cafeteria Head Helper collaborates with co-workers to ensure smooth operation of the school lunch program. This role is key to enhancing the food service experience by providing students with nutritious meals of the highest quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal caring.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Certification of good health
  3. Demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities of the position
  4. Experience as a food service worker, preferably in a school cafeteria
  5. Successful completion of management certification course, preferred
  6. Such other qualifications as the Superintendent or his/her designee may require.
  7. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
  8. Employee shall properly implement Board Policy 3122, Policy 4122, and Policy 2260 on non-discrimination and shall comply with Federal and State laws and regulations, particularly Part 1 104 of Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (34 CFR) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
