POSITION: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Tutor (Multiple positions)
LOCATION: Booth Building
HOURS: 6.75/day, Monday - Friday
180-day calendar
SALARY: $24.73-25.87- AA Degree
$25.71-26.91- BA Degree
NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exemplary customer service and responsiveness.
- Communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students and patrons.
- Follow supervisory directions and employ personal initiative when necessary.
- Work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
- Participate in parent training and/or home visits as scheduled.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA degree, required.
- Bachelors Degree, preferred but not required.
- Bilingual and/or Biliterate, preferred but not required.
- Registered Behavior Technician or willing to complete assigned 40-hour Behavior Technican trainng course, required.
- Evaluation and assessment to meet the requirements to become a registerted/certified behavior technician within first 30 days of hire.
- Prior experience in working with students with disabilities or exceptional students, required.
- Bilingual and/or Biliterate in English/Spanish, preferred but not required.
- College or on-the-job training experience in ABA related activities, preferred but not required.

Willingness to study materials provided by supervisory personnel, and/or take
college classes to improve basic instructional skills.
- Willingness to use evaluation data and constructive criticism to improve performance.
- Current first aid/cpr card, preferred.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships.
- Knowledge and successful implementation of strategies for working with students with Autism or willingness to be trained.
- Ability to assist with toileting needs, diapering, lifting, tube feeding, catheters, and other forms of assistance.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
