As a Vertical Market Manager, you’ll work within your assigned territory to make connections and maintain long-term customer relationships, while maximizing sales opportunities for Stiles’ Building Automation products and full-line of support services. As a Vertical Market Manager, you’ll travel within your territory to meet with existing and potential customers to promote and sell Stiles’ products. This attractive position with an industry leader combines the best resources, materials, technology, and software to contribute to the building automation market.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Play an integral role in growing and developing long-term, productive relationships between Stiles and our customers.
  • Promote and sell Stiles products and services, expand sales, and stay current on competitor’s activities within your assigned accounts.
  • Work within the organization and industry to keep fully abreast of new products or product applications that can further support our company or our customers.
  • Advise customers on application of products, factory layout, and workflow to create the right solution to meet their individual business case.
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all Stiles internal departments, while maintaining the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and adapt new strategies tailored specifically to your vertical market and your individual customers.
  • Monitor and manage sales progress, and provide accurate and documented quarterly and yearly forecasting, as well as develop long-range tactics for growth.
  • Provide information to our partner factories, product groups, and managers to enhance performance and our ability to deliver a superior product or service.
  • Coordinate customer visits to showrooms and perform or arrange for product demonstrations, when needed.
  • Create and conduct sales and general information presentations.

What you need:

  • A self-motivated, sales-oriented attitude with proven sales aptitude and ability
  • Strong understanding of the commercial and residential (single-family and multi-family) construction industries
  • Previous experience in management or territory sales for major National/Key Accounts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sales/Marketing
  • Minimum 5-7 years of field sales management experience
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on interpersonal savvy, change adaptability, and customer advocacy
