WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Tasks listed below are exemplary only and are not an exhaustive list of all the tasks that may be required for this position.
- Posts and records monthly entries in accounting software.
- Reconciles bank accounts for all assigned entities, and record bank activity accordingly.
- Manages capital expenditure tracking, including tenant improvement allowances, leasing commissions, and major building renovations.
- Prepares reimbursements to affiliate entities and projects.
- Prepares billing for accounting, asset management, and overhead reimbursements and fees.
- Prepares allocation/reimbursement entries to post to accounting system.
- Supports annual external audits, lender reporting, and regulatory filings as needed.
- Assists with ad hoc projects and other tasks as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bacehlor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Prior accounting experience.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates.
- Ability to have flexibility with working schedule based on business and deadline needs.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing work requirements, multiple deadlines and competing demands.
- Consistent, regular and in-person attendance during regular working hours at the workplace is required.
- Proficient understanding of job cost and general ledger accounting (preferred).
