Senior Civil Engineer en BREC, a Stratus Team company

Job Summary

BREC, a Stratus Team company, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our office in Wilkesboro, NC, who specializes in providing solutions for civil and environmental projects in multiple markets. The Senior Engineer is a licensed professional engineer responsible for leading technical aspects of engineering projects. This role involves providing expert-level technical guidance, ensuring that designs meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. The Senior Engineer oversees the technical development of projects, mentors junior staff, and serves as a subject matter expert in the field.

Primary Essential Functions

• Manage project design, including technical quality, people, process, cost, and schedule
• Collaborate with engineering/architecture disciplines on complex projects
• Supervise and/or prepare design documents, specifications, and cost estimates
• Detailed design engineering and QA/QC checks
• Prepare studies and reports
• Site investigations and construction administration
• Identify and manage client deliverables and expectations
• Permitting and coordination with federal, state, and local municipalities.
• Communicate with a high level of professionalism with clients, sub-consultants, and office staff

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of engineering consulting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• PE required
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydraflow, or equivalent hydrology software
• Project experience with: Residential and commercial development, site layout, grading and drainage, hydraulics, hydrology, and stormwater/water quality; Water and sewer, and permitting
