Description:

Akima is looking for a Pricing Manager.  This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA. 

 

The Pricing Manager is responsible for leading complex pricing analyses and strategy development in support of organizational goals. This role works cross-functionally with finance, sales, contracts, and operations teams to develop competitive pricing models and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the pricing strategy and execution for complex price proposals

  • Develop cost and price models, using historical data and market intelligence to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis and recommend adjustments to improve win probability.

  • Collaborate with business development, legal, contracts, and finance teams to align pricing with strategic objectives.

  • Work with Price-to-Win team for analyses, rate build-ups, and justification narratives for proposal submissions.

  • Support contract negotiations and post-award pricing adjustments 

  • Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance and internal policy adherence for all government pricing activities.

  • May manage or mentor junior pricing analysts.

Preferred but not required:

  • Familiarity with IT pricing that includes, but is not limited to, AI, machine learning, data management or similar types of proposals

  • Experience with complex cost narratives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of required experience working as a Lead Pricing Analyst. 
  • Expert skills in MS Excel.
