General Responsibilities
LIMS Management:
- Manage and maintain the LIMS database, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
- Coordinate and implement LIMS software updates, working with IT and vendors as needed.
- Generate reports on sample processing metrics and database performance.
Sample Processing:
- Process daily sample submission, including data entry, tracking, and status updates.
- Perform pre-laboratory sample preparation, including grinding of samples, splitting samples, and inventorying samples for longer-term storage.
Customer & Partner Relations:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding sample status, results, and testing procedures within 24-48 hrs of inquiry.
General Guidance/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent experience.
- 2 + years of experience with LIMS systems.
- Laboratory environment experience preferred.
Other Essential Skills and Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and data management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in database management and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to speak and write in English.
- Must be able to work with biological sample types, including, but not limited to, blood, tissues, bones, and excreta.
Cross-Functional Requirements
- Collaborate with various departments, including Procurement, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Logistics.
