Description

AMHC is seeking a compassionate and organized full-time Family Visitation Scheduler to support and supervise visits between children and their families. In this dual-role position, you’ll be responsible for both coordinating visit schedules and directly supervising parent-child interactions—helping to ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for families reconnecting and healing.

What You’ll Do:

As a Family Visitation Worker:

  • Supervise family visits according to court orders and agency guidelines

  • Monitor and support healthy parent-child interactions during visits

  • Teach and model positive parenting skills (e.g., discipline, communication, active listening, age-appropriate play)

  • Intervene when needed to ensure child safety—including terminating visits if required

  • Provide transportation for children when needed for visits

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of each visit

  • Relay important information between parents and children when appropriate

  • Testify in court as needed

  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Coordinate with DHHS, foster families, and other professionals involved in the child’s care

As a Scheduler:

  • Coordinate all family visitation schedules based on DHHS referrals

  • Communicate with DHHS caseworkers, foster parents, and families to confirm appointments

  • Update schedules for Visit Support Workers and supervisors

  • Identify and confirm appropriate visit locations

  • Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and inform DHHS of any issues

  • Maintain accurate records and communication logs
