We currently have a career opportunity for a Enterprise Architect with deep Healthcare domain expertise to join our team located in St. Louis, MO. This is a hybrid on-site role with expectations to be in the office at minimum 3 days per week.
Job Overview:
As an Enterprise Architect you will lead strategic technology initiatives and significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more client initiative; you will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.
This role will focus on aligning enterprise architecture with business goals, particularly in pharmacy operations, billing workflows, and AI-driven transformation. The architect will assess legacy systems, identify pain points, and develop a roadmap for modernization and innovation.
You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, system analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.
This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team, and may mentor delivery team members.

Responsibilities
- Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and solution roadmaps for various client initiatives.
- Align technology strategy with business objectives across pharmacy operations and billing workflows.
- Build a comprehensive roadmap and business case for technology investments.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify technology and business pain points.
- Evaluate legacy systems including platforms for billing, client rebates, and guarantee calculations.
- Identify opportunities for AI enabled solution and guide the adoption of AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Oracle EBS/WMS expansion and evaluation of internal vs. external delivery models.
- The EA role would be expected to:
- Map current applications
- Identify technology and business pain points
- Prioritize investment areas
- Build a roadmap and business case
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Collaborate with the customer's operations and technology leadership on the future analytic goals of the organization, and design a technical architecture to meet those goals.
- Present findings, recommendations, and roadmaps to executive leadership.
- Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.
- Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
- Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
- Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Passionate Technologist with Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in large-scale enterprise environments with the ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
- Professional experience with full stack software development experience.
- Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
- At least 2 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize)
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency.
- Experienced in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in healthcare or life sciences.
- Deep domain knowledge within Healthcare, with a depth of understanding within pharmacy operations, especially around rebates, billing workflows, and client guarantees.
- Experience in legacy system assessment and modernization strategies.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, data standards, and interoperability frameworks.
- Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
- Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
- Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
- Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
- Strong sense of urgency, detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize work flow
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
- Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
- Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be independent and self-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Must be open to travel.
Preferred skills and education:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
- Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
- Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118.00 - $202,730.00.
