Job Description:Department Summary
The Revenue Cycle team ensures the financial sustainability of Guardant Health’s mission by supporting accurate billing, payment, and compliance processes. The team partners cross-functionally to maintain high standards of efficiency, data accuracy, and patient-centered service while enabling continuous improvement of revenue cycle operations.
About the Role:
The Revenue Cycle Quality Analyst II plays a key role in evaluating and enhancing revenue cycle workflows through quality assurance reviews, data analysis, and compliance oversight. This position is responsible for identifying root causes of issues such as claim denials, recommending strategies to improve financial performance, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and internal standards. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle systems and processes, driving improvements that enhance patient experience and maximize revenue collection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews of revenue cycle workflows (patient access, billing, payments) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Data Analysis: Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Perform audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies; adapt procedures as necessary.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an expert on revenue cycle systems and processes; provide training and guidance to staff.
- Metric Development: Assist in creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track revenue cycle performance.
- Collaboration: Partner with billing, coding, patient access, and other teams to foster a culture of quality and seamless operations.
Travel Requirements:
- This role may require some travel that may include, but is not limited to:
- Participating in corporate events and quarterly/biannually/annually meetings to connect with fellow leaders and share innovative strategies.
- Engaging in leadership development opportunities and conferences that will enhance your skills and knowledge, empowering you to lead your team effectively.
- Participating in teambuilding activities in person with your direct reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster a strong, united workplace culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations or quality analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data.
- In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle processes and systems, with experience using platforms such as Salesforce, Telcor, and Tableau.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and evolving industry trends.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,030 to $89,420. The range does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $76,500 to $105,200. The range does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
