About the role
- Play a key role in the development of the firm’s data analytics function: Design, develop, and implement data analytics solutions tailored to enhance audit processes, identify potential risk areas, and streamline decision-making.
- Microsoft Tech Stack Utilization: Employ Microsoft technologies (e.g. PowerApps, Power BI, VBA) to build intuitive tools, dashboards, and applications that support audit teams in evaluating large datasets.
- Programming & Automation: Assist in the development of scripts and programs to automate repetitive audit tasks, data extraction, and analysis.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with auditors and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide insights, and develop solutions that enhance audit quality and efficiency.
- Data Quality & Compliance: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data used in analytics and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Training & Support: Provide technical training and support to audit team members on the use of data analytics tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with evolving audit analytics trends and tools, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the audit function.
What we're looking for
- Qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data visualization and storytelling techniques in an audit context.
- Experience in computer programming (e.g., SQL, Python) and data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including PowerApps, Power BI, and VBA.
- An understanding of external audit methodologies and standards.
