NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: To expedite the hiring for this position, the hiring supervisor may apply for a waiver to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services. 

 

The Family Resource Center Coordinator is seeking an Assistant to serve Maryville and Overdale Elementary Schools. Must be willing to assist with home visits and events, connect with staff, students, and community partners and fulfill other duties as assigned. Computer experience and interpersonal communication skills are required. Attending after school and evening programs may be required.
  • Perform clerical and data entry duties; assist coordinator in the implementation of a variety of programs and activities.
  • Assist the FRC Coordinator in developing community partnerships and assist with students' basic needs. 
  • Maintain the organization and supply of the FRC's food pantry and clothing closets at both schools.
  • Demonstrate customer support, capacity to draft letters, utilize time management and be flexible when assisting students and families of various backgrounds.
This position is 4 hours per day, 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) and 102 days per year.
Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.   
Considered a part time position and not eligible for benefits.
 
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 0:  $15.98

Step 10: $19.67

 

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

 

 

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks.  This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule.  4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
