Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform skilled heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) maintenance and repair of equipment and systems at various District buildings and facilities independently or on an assigned crew.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college level or trade school coursework in HVACR. Completion of a HVACR certificate program is desired. Experience: Three years of experience in the HVAC&R trade. Any combination of training and/or experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered. Testing: Passing score on District HVACR Technician test, within the last three years. Other: Bilingual/Spanish desired. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license. Valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). ). Proof must be submitted with the application.

Salary Info

Range 57: $5,669 to $6,890 per month, in five steps. Family medical and dental benefits available at 100% District paid.
