Machine Operator 2 en GA Foods

GA Foods is seeking Machine Operator to work on the Production lines. The individual in this role will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tearing down various production machinery and associated equipment according to daily production schedule. The Machine Operator must adhere to the required sanitation standards and GMPs, and occasionally perform light maintenance duties following safe work practices.

 First shift from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Great and comfortable workplace with clean areas, break rooms, free meals, and more.

 Machine Operator - Essential Functions:

• Operates automation equipment including: Hoppers, Vegetable dispenser, Fruit dispenser, Label dispenser and Conveyor line.
• Operate the line with a minimum of downtime
• Set up and operate meal label machine.
• Operate hopper and monitor meals for adequate portioning, good seals and uniform cut.
• Performs quality assurance checks to ensure adequate portions and adequate seal integrity of meals.
• Calculate formulas for finished fruit cup product and required amount of raw ingredients.
• Assemble, operate and disassemble machinery.
• Ensure sanitation standards and GMPs are followed.
• Responsible for the proper housekeeping and sanitation of the line
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with GA team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Machine Operator - Requirements:

• Meet the schedule requirements.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
• Must be willing to participate in all tasks needed to get the job done - including end-of-shift clean-up/sanitation

Machine Operator - Job Qualifications:

• Ability to run Automated Production Equipment.
• Prior Assembly Experience.
• Pallet Jack operation.
• Some Mechanical Ability Required.
• Ability to complete production and other required reports.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Under 1/3: Walk;
• Over 2/3: See, Stand, Talk or hear, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms.

Weight Lifting/Exertion: Under 1/3: Up to 40 lbs.

• Motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc.) most of the workday.
• Exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.
