Your role at Tumi:
This Sourcing Associate will support the Sourcing team with operational tasks. This includes issuing and tracking global purchase orders, running weekly inventory reports, coordinating with the warehouse on receipts, coordinating the salesman samples, assisting with the retail collateral development process and ordering, and special projects as needed. The Sourcing Associate will need to work with cross-functional partners both in the NJ and NY offices as well as the Asia offices. This position requires interaction with cross functional partners within Tumi -Product Management, Product Planning, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Traffic / Import as well as the overseas Sourcing team. It will also require communication with outside vendors and licensees. This is a hybrid role; we work on site 4 days, and remotely 1 day, weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Issue and track production PO’s. Alert management on potential delays and update SAP accordingly
- Review monthly replenishment POs to ensure that all orders are placed based on financial approval.
- Work closely with Corporate Merchandising Team on orders and deliveries.
- Track shipments and delivery of raw materials to support production plans.
- Issue Purchase Requisitions as needed.
- Tracer Tag Priority Report
- Coordinate salesman sample process and collaborate with regions on their sample requests.
- Liaison between Sourcing, Creative and Asia PD in the development of collateral materials with overseas suppliers.
- Coordinate with the Traffic/WH department on inbound delivery requirements and ASNs
- Run weekly Open PO reports and as needed inventory reports.
- Assist with retail collateral - placing and tracking POs, sample development and quoting process
- Distribute wear tests and provide wear test survey result summaries
Qualifications
We're excited if you have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office with a focus in Excel. SAP and/or Power BI experience would be a plus.
- Pro-active and good at anticipating and troubleshooting problems.
- Ability to collaborate and work with a diverse group of cross functional teams globally.
- Strong time management skills. Able to handle several projects at once while working in a fast-paced environment.

- This role may have the opportunity to earn an annual target bonus based on several factors including Company and individual performance, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company’s bonus plan in effect from time to time.
