The Winter Plow Crew Equipment Operator is responsible for safely clearing roads and parking lots to allow guests safe access to the mountain recreation area.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Winter Plow Crew member, you will operate snow removal equipment to keep roads and parking areas safe and accessible. You will work closely with mechanics and staff to maintain equipment, report conditions, and ensure the mountain is prepared for guest use.


A Day in the Life

Operate plow trucks, skid steers, wheel loaders, and other equipment to remove snow from roads and parking lots. Communicate with staff about equipment needs and mountain conditions. Ensure all work is performed safely, maintaining a professional attitude toward guests and staff.


Essential Functions of the Job

  • Operate plow trucks, wheel loaders, skid steers, and other snow removal equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and report conditions to appropriate staff.
  • Work with mechanics to address repair and maintenance issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and standard operating protocols.
  • Promote safety by reporting unsafe conditions or practices.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job

  • Maintain a professional attitude toward guests, drivers, and staff.
  • Assist in mountain rescue efforts, if necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

What You Bring to Bogus Basin

  • Passionate about Bogus Basin’s Mission.
  • Heavy equipment operation experience required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules: Day Shifts (3:30am–12:00pm), Night Shifts (2:00pm–10:30pm).
  • Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds above shoulder level.
  • Occasionally required to stand, balance, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Regularly required to sit, handle tools, and operate controls.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively.
  • Valid Class B or higher CDL driver’s license and insurability.
  • Employees must provide sufficient clothing for warmth in winter conditions, gloves in good repair, and pac boots in good repair.
  • Ability to pass driver background check.
