Situated in one of the country's most active weather markets, this role offers a unique opportunity to expand a trusted and dominant weather brand. We're looking for a weather enthusiast who combines deep meteorological expertise with exceptional storytelling skills to deliver weather stories that truly resonate with and protect our community.

As our evening meteorologist, you will be at the forefront of weather communication on air, digital, and streaming platforms, playing a vital role in keeping our viewers informed, prepared, and safe.

Key Responsibilities

-Deliver accurate and compelling weather forecasts with an emphasis on impactful and inconvenient weather conditions.

- Create innovative, engaging weather content that adds value and captures attention across all broadcast and digital platforms.

- Translate complex meteorological data into clear, accessible explanations, highlighting the “why” and relevance behind your forecasts.

- Actively contribute to the KOAM+ streaming app, KOAM website, and social media channels, fostering strong audience interaction and feedback loops.

- Provide urgent weather updates and critical information both from the studio and on-location during severe weather events.

Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology.

- At least 2 years of on-air meteorology experience, including severe weather coverage.

- Proficiency with WSI weather systems is preferred but not required.

- Confident and engaging on-air presence with a conversational and relatable delivery style.
