Manufacturing Process Technician – Dice

Located in Lowell, MA, this Dice Manufacturing Technician shall be part of the Die Business team reporting into the Die Business Manager. The technician shall setup and run automated Dice operations on singulated semiconductor wafers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and run multiple automated equipment to Dice semiconductor wafers.  Must be comfortable and familiar with setting up and using automated, semiautomated and manual Dicing Equipment. (Disco/Loomis/ADT
  • Handle semiconductor wafers and die in clean room environments (Class 10,000)
  • Familiar with FOD, contamination and ESD management
  • Capable of using digital and optical microscopes and other die inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of wafer, microelectronic and hybrid assembly processes and manufacturing processes (wafer probe testing, wafer singulation, wafer cleaning and AOI).
  • Using ERP, shop floor control and the automated tracking tools to status daily production (Eyelit).
  • Attend meetings when required to provide production status, contribute to continuous process improvement and defect root cause analysis and potential corrective actions
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance and maintaining spare part inventory

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous Dicing experience preferred
  • Must be able to sit for a long period of time while working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work under a microscope for an extended period of time – optical and digital
  • Must pay attention to details, being meticulous.
  • Must be well-organized and detail oriented
  • Must know MIL-STD 883 details and learn customer specific requirements

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, fluent in written English.  Associates degree preferred.
  • Comfortable working with automated equipment (dicing, AOI, digital microscopes)
  • +2 years of previous semiconductor experience preferred
  • Ability to follow oral and written guidelines/procedures
  • Computer skills and knowledge in MS Office (Excel)
  • Prior work experience in a lean manufacturing/5S environment a plus
  • US citizen or permanent resident required due to ITAR restriction
