Job Summary
Calvary Christian Academy is seeking a Christ-centered, enthusiastic Cheerleading Coach to lead our middle school and high school cheer teams. The coach will train and mentor student-athletes in cheerleading skills, teamwork, and school spirit while fostering spiritual growth and modeling Christian character. This role includes planning practices, leading performances at athletic and school events, and creating a safe, encouraging, and Christ-honoring environment for students.
The Cheerleading Coach position is vital to supporting Calvary Christian Academy’s mission of developing students spiritually, academically, and athletically. Cheerleading provides students with the opportunity to build school spirit, represent the Academy with excellence, and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, and perseverance.
Key Responsibilities
- Spiritual Leadership: Model Christ-like behavior and integrate biblical principles into coaching and mentoring.
- Cheerleading Expertise: Teach and demonstrate proper techniques in stunts, tumbling, choreography, and safety.
- Student Mentorship: Encourage personal growth, confidence, and teamwork among student-athletes.
- Program Leadership: Organize and lead practices, performances, and events with excellence and intentionality.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Safety & Well-Being: Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe environment that promotes student development.
Qualifications
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Previous cheerleading coaching or performance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading skills, techniques, and safety standards.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and disciple student-athletes.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and community standards of Calvary Christian Academy.
