- Answer routine phone inquiries, take messages, route calls.
- Distribute mail for counseling department.
- Register new students and request and process new student records.
- Maintain student demographics.
- Schedule appointments for counselors.
- Coordinate and process college applications and transcripts for students.
- Type, prepare, distribute records, reports, correspondence etc. related to counseling functions.
- Process and maintain student records.
- Adhere to policy/legal regulations regarding release of students to custodial parent, guardian, or other authorized person.
- Assist in graduation preparation by providing accurate reports and materials.
- Crosstrain with secretaries in the school office and serve as backup as needed.
- Present a pleasant, helpful attitude toward staff, students, parents, and visitors and respond to inquiries.
- Take advantage of inservice training to improve and upgrade skills.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to operate personal computers and related software as well as Google suite.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and the school community.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Salary: |
Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked at least 120 days in a school year. New employees will begin on year 1. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Benefits: | Insurance: EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate. |
