Job Summary
We are seeking a Jr. Credit Officer to join our Credit Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of mortgage loans through to closing. This role requires excellent organizational skills, knowledge of mortgage processing procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and process mortgage loan applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and borrowers to collect required documentation.
- Verify borrower information including income, assets, employment, and credit.
- Maintain loan processing pipeline and track progress to ensure on-time closings.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure loan files meet all investor and compliance guidelines.
- Identify and resolve processing issues or delays proactively.
- Input and update data in loan origination systems and other platforms as needed.
- Provide regular status updates to borrowers and stakeholders.
- Support audit requests and post-closing reviews.
Eligibility Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of loan processing or related mortgage operations experience, here in Switzerland
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Notary designation is a plus.
- Languages - Fluent in French or German
