Overview
We’re seeking a versatile Creative Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with our design and development teams, translating creative concepts into interactive experiences. You will build the prototypes, tools, and solutions that bring our creative visions to life.
Due to the unique nature of this role, there is a requirement on-site, at least 2 days a week at our London Studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to develop innovative solutions for our creative projects.
- Create prototypes and proof of concepts(POC) using a wide range of technologies and platforms
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and be able to apply them to the projects you work on
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during POC and production
- Document the development process and be comfortable presenting your ideas
- Research and prototype new techniques and technologies to push the boundaries of our technical ability
- Develop and implement interactive installations, experiences, or applications
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Creative Technologist, Technical Artist or a similar hybrid role that demonstrates both creative and technical understanding.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as, C#, C++, Python, Typescript or similar languages
- Experience with AR/VR technologies, physical computing, or interactive installations
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Comfortable working within an R&D / prototyping environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating the intersection of creative and technical skills, We want to see creative prototypes, interactive experiences, custom tools that demonstrate your problem solving abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with emerging technologies across multiple platforms such as mobile, XR, Web
- Rigging experience in Autodesk Maya, Blender or other DCC tools
- The ability to write shaders in CG/HLSL as well as work in node-based editors.
- Experience with industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, Blender, Houdini or Substance Painter.
