HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Apply technical expertise/analysis in planning and design in manufacturing processes. Support engineers II-IV on larger scale projects.
THE DETAILS
Drive Production Excellence: Tackle manufacturing process challenges head-on, from downtime to quality deviations. Diagnose root causes, implement improvements, and partner with production and maintenance teams to boost efficiency, safety, quality, and uptime.
Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Plan and execute small-scale upgrades and improvement initiatives—defining requirements, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets/schedules, and ensuring successful implementation of solutions.
Elevate Documentation & Communication: Create and maintain clear manufacturing instructions, technical reports, and process documentation. Translate technical changes into actionable updates for production, quality, maintenance, and management teams.
Strengthen Technical Expertise: Conduct studies on gauges, ergonomics, capacity, and process capability while learning critical systems (safety, quality, SAP, equipment design). Apply insights to design support equipment, optimize layouts, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of machining, assembly, automation, Lean Manufacturing, structured problem-solving, data analysis, and proficiency with SolidWorks CAD.
Professional Strengths: Known for adaptability, continuous learning, customer focus, strong collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Preferred Plus: Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP), project management skills, and exposure to PLCs and automation technologies.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $70,000.00 - $90,000.00. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
