What You Will Do:
- Assist the Clinical Director with the maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, reports, and records.
- Assist in obtaining all physician orders, including follow-up, tracking and updating the EMR with status/order updates.
- Assist in reviewing clinical documentation and reporting to the Clinical Director any areas of concern.
- Faxes laboratory reports and other documents to physicians as needed.
- Send, track and check on patient orders per patient order process.
- Assembles and distributes patient admission booklets to clinical staff.
- Respond to all inquiries for new patient referrals in a timely manner.
- Ensure all intake data for admissions requests are collected, completed and communicated according to the established standard operating procedures and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Obtain all necessary information (demographics, financial, clinical, and other pertinent data) through contact and/or interview with referral agency, patient and/or patient representative.
- Perform clerical work
- Utilize appropriate systems to track all incoming new patients and the status of their paperwork, and the scheduled start of care visits.
- Promote efficiency of admission process by answering phones, emails, etc. and reporting issues to supervisor as needed.
- Track all referrals in the computer system and compile statistics monthly and/or as requested.
- Assist in completing satisfaction surveys regarding care provided.
- When time allows assist other departments with workflow.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse within the state of Ohio
- A minimum of 6 months in a medical office setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent computer skills
