Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst, preferably with expertise in maritime logistics or transportation industry to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a strategic bridge between business operations and IT, driving the development, enhancement, and integration of systems that support port operations, cargo handling, vessel scheduling, and supply chain visibility.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across strategic business partners, terminal operators, and internal departments to gather and analyze requirements, recommend system improvements, and ensure seamless digital operations across our maritime logistics platforms. Your analytical skills and industry knowledge will be critical in delivering scalable solutions that improve efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, global environment.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Business Analysis

  • Develop new business strategies and models, analyzing their potential benefits to the organization.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Lead the execution of business strategies and internal initiatives to achieve strategic goals.
  • Collaborate on the design and market evaluation of new products and services.

Business Systems Analysis

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design documents.
  • Support software selection, system integration, and process automation initiatives.
  • Evaluate current systems and processes; recommend modifications or upgrades.
  • Ensure smooth project transitions from development to support, including knowledge transfer and documentation.

 Project & Process Management

  • Lead or support the project lifecycle from requirement gathering to implementation.
  • Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Use Cases, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications.
  • Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and redesign for improved efficiency.
  • Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  • Assist in performance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management.
  • Administer and deliver training as needed for system implementations or new process adoption.
  • Define and deliver clear support protocols for all systems and processes

Communication & Collaboration

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support migration planning and execution by recording process flows and managing all related communications.
  • Ensure that project goals, deadlines, and deliverables are met effectively and on time.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • 3–5 years minimum experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related data-driven role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and mockup tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Axure).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Soft Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in simple business terms.
  • Technical understanding of system architecture and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
  • Maritime Logistics or transportation industry experience
