i3 is seeking a Safety Specialist knowledgeable in OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and work procedures for multiple i3 locations.
Responsibilities:- Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Ensures and monitors compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct risk assessments, and lead preparedness training programs to safeguard employees and organizational assets during emergencies and disasters.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant occupational health and safety experience.
- Experience with company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Experience developing and implementing emergency management and disaster preparedness plans.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Must be willing and able to travel as required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Desired:
- Forklift certified.
- OSHA, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- May require occasional lifting, standing, walking, and climbing.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
Position Requirements:

- Experience in leading and growing teams
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years experience in Program Management (Desired)
- Experience in the Defense Industry (Desired)
- Experience working on a military base (Desired)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
- Up to 10% travel may be required

- Project Management Professional (PMP) (Desired)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (Required)

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
