Responsible for general technical support for students, faculty and staff of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine/ Imaging School (1000+ users).
Responsibilities:Responsible for general technical support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:
- Administers all smart-podiums, troubleshooting all Audio-Visual issues in lecture halls, labs and classrooms.
- Respond to service tickets.
- Performs installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop computers and peripherals.
- Administers Print Server and printing management software.
- Administers E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff and student body.
- Troubleshoots network (wired and wireless) related issues.
- Technical support for Medical Simulation Machines.
- Assists students and instructors with Canvas and clicker issues.
- Assist students with Exam issues.
- Troubleshoot Zoom issues.
- Other duties as required.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor of Science preferred.
- At least 3 years of IT experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required.
- Customer service and team orientated required.
- A high degree of interpersonal competency: Professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty and colleagues required.
- Knowledge of networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of Windows Workstations/Servers, Linux Servers (preferred) and Mac OSX.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
- Basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment.
- Ability to do internet research as necessary.
