This role will lead across multiple functions, including market access, marketing, revenue strategy, and commercial operations. This is a unique opportunity to build a world-class commercial organization and define the go-to-market model for a new category in medical technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including physician targeting, market segmentation, and competitive positioning.
- Refine and expand the assessment of the addressable market for our initial indication and develop the strategic roadmap for future applications and product pipeline expansion.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of core commercial systems, including CRM, and outline the plan for a commercial analytics function to drive data-informed decisions.
- Drive the development of our revenue generation strategy, including pricing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management.
- Develop a comprehensive reimbursement strategy.
- Design the commercial organization roadmap, mapping out the necessary roles, responsibilities, and structure to scale effectively.
- Define and build the field support operations model to support healthcare providers and patients
- Establish and lead sales operations, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, performance analysis, and incentive compensation design.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial roles within the medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of success in commercial strategy, product launches, and market development, preferably with novel technologies or in specialty markets.
- Deep experience in one or more of the following areas: market access/reimbursement, marketing, sales operations, or health economics.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams and to operate in a player-coach capacity in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills; able to translate complex data into actionable strategic insights.
- Experience managing external agencies and vendors and negotiating contracts.
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory compliance environment for medical devices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, from the Board of Directors to cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
