A lovely family near Utah Park in Aurora is seeking an Occasional Babysitter to help care for their 17 month old child. Care will be provided on an as-needed basis, with shifts lasting a minimum of 4 hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Families will provide at least 24 hours’ notice, and most requests will be scheduled further in advance. Occasionally, assistance may be needed with daycare drop-off or pick-up. Sitters will use their own vehicle for transportation and will be reimbursed for mileage.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, dependable, flexible, and caring. Please note there are no guaranteed hours for this position.

Responsibilities
- All aspects of care and monitoring for one toddler, including:
- Engaging in developmentally appropriate activities to support milestones
- Light meal prep
- Maintain child's schedules and routines as set by parents
- Communicate effectively with parent regarding child's daily activities, progress, and concerns that may arise
- Occasional assistance with daycare drop off and pick up
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 2+ years of paid, professional toddler care experience
- Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of driver’s insurance and a clean driving record
- Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
- Must be comfortable with family’s two cats
Compensation
This position pays $27 - 32 per hour, and the family is looking for as-needed care.
