About the Department

The Corporate Digital Learning Coordinator serves as an instructional designer and content developer with responsibilities in supporting the College’s Corporate Learning Management System (LMS). This role focuses on partnering with faculty and business and industry leaders to identify training needs and translate those needs into instructional content, learning objectives, and assessments. The Coordinator works directly with faculty to design and build courses within the LMS. Additionally, the Coordinator provides administrative support, course management, and technical assistance for students, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality digital learning experience.

This position will report primarily to the Technology Center with travel all campus locations as needed.

Position Duties

Instructional Design & Content Development

  • Partner with business and industry stakeholders to assess workforce training needs and develop instructional materials that align with real-world skills.
  • Collaborate with faculty subject matter experts to design and build courses in the LMS.
  • Write measurable learning objectives and align them with appropriate assessments and applied learning activities.
  • Create engaging, practical, and applied learning experiences through case studies, simulations, and project-based activities.
  • Develop supplemental resources such as job aids, tutorials, and multimedia content to enhance learning.
  • Ensure instructional materials are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with customer expectations and needs.


LMS Course Management & Support

  • Support daily operations of the LMS, including course setup, enrollment, and content uploads.
  • Build and maintain course shells in collaboration with faculty.
  • Ensure that courses are easy to navigate, consistent in structure, and aligned with instructional design best practices.
  • Generate and analyze learner progress and engagement data to improve course effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with the LMS administrator and IT staff on system updates, data accuracy, and troubleshooting.

Technical Support & Training

  • Provide timely technical assistance to students, faculty, and industry partners using the LMS.
  • Develop user guides, FAQs, and tutorials that support effective system use.
  • Deliver training sessions for learners and instructors to increase confidence with online platforms.
  • Serve as a resource for troubleshooting common issues, escalating technical problems as needed.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work with Workforce Development, Enrollment Management, and community partners to align training programs with career pathways and industry expectations.
  • Research and recommend new instructional technologies, tools, and methods that enhance student engagement and applied learning.
  • Participate in advisory committees to ensure digital learning strategies remain responsive to employer and student needs.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Develop project plans, set timelines, and coordinate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to meet milestones.
  • Track progress, resolve obstacles, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation of instructional design projects, including goals, responsibilities, and outcomes.
  • Apply continuous improvement practices to streamline development processes and ensure efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or related field 

  • Master’s degree preferred  

Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, course content development, and LMS support.
  • Experience working with business and industry partners to design training or curriculum.
  • 3-5 Years of proven experience as an LMS Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design frameworks and adult learning theory.
  • Ability to write clear learning objectives and align them with assessments and applied learning activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to build effective digital learning experiences. 
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms and course authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards.
  • Experience supporting users in digital learning environments, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal faculty and external business partners.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a focus on balancing multiple development projects.
  • Proficiency in LMS and enrollment software administration, including user management, content upload, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations related to online learning platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently as a leader and as part of a team. 
  • Experience with technical support and implementing changes to systems. 
  • Experience configuring existing enrollment and learning management systems 
  • Experience or willingness to learn website configurations of existing platforms and working with technical support to arrange website for maximum functionality. 
  • Experience in gathering data from systems. 
  • Experience managing data management systems for accurate data entry 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in order to maintain a rapid response to inquiries for help and assistance.
  • Must be mobile in order to attend events and meetings outside regular work hours.

Licensure/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
