This position is hybrid and remote eligible up to 40% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Corporate Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and will require additional evening/weekend hours to support business needs (weekend events throughout the year especially in summer, etc.) Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:
Starting Pay: $31.11 per hour Pay Range: $27.53 - $34.70

Purpose:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the creation and delivery of customer communications and marketing materials that are clear, engaging, and accessible to all audiences. This role blends design, copywriting, and campaign coordination to ensure ESL’s brand is represented consistently across digital, print, and in-branch experiences. The Marketing Coordinator also partners with retail teams, vendors, and community partners to support events and sponsorships. This position is an excellent fit for a natural problem-solver who enjoys balancing creativity with organization, thrives on learning, and is motivated by creating communications that resonate with a wide range of people.
Accountabilities:
Customer Communications
- Coordinate and implement inclusive customer communications for new or revised products, services, and regulatory updates
- Coordinate the creation and implementation of monthly statement messages, proactive and reactive notifications, and customer-facing mass email marketing campaigns
- Provide copywriting, proofreading, and editing support across communication channels
- Support event marketing and sponsorship activities
Graphic Design and Campaign Support
- Plan, design, and produce marketing materials that include direct-to customer campaigns, product/service brochures, website assets, and content to support community and customer events
- Finalize production-ready assets and coordinate with print vendors in accordance with campaign/initiative deadlines
- Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines and are inclusive and accessible
Retail Marketing Support
- Serve as liaison between Marketing Communications and retail banking to ensure effective rollout of campaign material and customer communication/collateral updates
- Coordinate and communicate branch merchandising updates, including signage, video, and brochures
- Maintain and update reference guides for brochures/disclosures
Continuously Develop Skills and Advance Expertise
- Stay current on marketing, communications, and design trends, including best practices for reaching broad and varied audiences
- Participate in training and self-development to strengthen technical and professional skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned or appropriate to support business needs
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, communications, graphic design or similar and less than five years of directly related experience
- In addition, a minimum of 2+ years experience in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications AND Graphic Design (academic coursework and/or internship may be considered)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, graphic design, or similar preferred
- Prior experience in marketing or event planning and coordination
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to explain information in ways that are easy to understand
- Self-motivated to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive marketing practices that resonate with a wide range of audiences
- Adaptability, sense of urgency, and attention to detail
- Enjoys building positive working relationships across teams, leaders, and external partners
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
