High School Math Teacher
AZ Compass Prep, a K–12 campus in North Chandler, is seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher. We are a small, boutique-style campus that offers extraordinary opportunities through our focus on the 3 A’s: Academics, Arts, and Athletics. The teacher will provide high-quality instruction, foster academic growth, and create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based lessons in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Statistics.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and address diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress with appropriate tools and provide clear, timely feedback.
- Reteach and support students to ensure mastery of key math concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents/guardians, and support staff to promote student achievement.
- Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student education plans.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and complete assigned administrative tasks.
- Apply proactive classroom management strategies to support a safe and productive environment.
- Model strong character and encourage students to develop positive habits for success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal/School Leader.
Skills and Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Statistics.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of student learning styles and effective instructional practices.
- Familiarity with state and federal education regulations.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office/Google Suite and learning management systems.
- Effective use of email, calendars, and digital platforms for communication.
