Position Summary:

Advanced Systems Technician Lead is an experienced security/fire alarm technician who will be responsible to oversee large branch projects. This role will work directly on these projects and be responsible for the hiring, mentoring, training, and productivity of selected entry to mid-level technicians for projects. This individual will be responsible for adherence to company quality and installation standards.

 

Job Duties:

  • Work side by side with your team to install complex burglar, fire, card access, and CCTV security systems, and explain installation to customers.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Branch, and Sales Managers throughout all phases of a project (pre-sales through completion, post-installation 30 days)
  • Offer technical support for the system design, including providing parts and equipment information to the Sales Representative.
  • Provide accurate labor estimates in order to compete for new sales in a competitive market.
  • Oversee large branch projects to ensure work is in accordance with Bay Alarm Standards and relevant codes.
  • Mentor, train, and support team technicians in order to help accelerate their skill set and career path.
  • Lead your team of technicians to ensure productivity and efficiencies are met, or exceed, as compared to your initial labor estimate.
  • Provide weekly updates and current status of all projects that are in progress.
  • Motivate, lead, create training and provide direction to your team.
  • Work well with others in a professional manner (internal and external customers, or other trades).
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service for large projects that are your responsibility.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Promptly prepare a design-build parts list (goal within 48hrs) for Sales Representatives developing security or fire alarm systems proposals.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Communicate with direct manager and customer on project status on a weekly basis.
  • If required, gather further information for the design and conduct field surveys for proper equipment use.
  • All other miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • 5 years industry experience
  • NICET certification, Blue Card, or other advanced Bay University certifications
  • Management or other Supervisor training preferred
  • Intermediate word processing
  • Navigate and basic use Excel spreadsheets.
