Business Development Executive - Client Solutions
- Prospecting & Research:
- Identify and research target companies using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and internal CRM systems.
- Analyze industry trends and business challenges to uncover potential client needs that align with Sikich’s services.
- Identify and participate in relevant industry networking groups.
- Display best in class networking skills with a desire to regularly engage with business leaders.
- Client Engagement and Sales Process Management:
- Implement a sales strategy for new account prospects, prepare client presentations, and attend local and regional networking events representing Sikich.
- Initiate contact with financial decision-makers through cold outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand business pain points and qualify opportunities.
- Engage internal Sikich subject matter experts as part of the engagement process.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to scope and shape solutions.
- Facilitate the opportunity evaluation process, including needs analysis, proposal development, and pricing strategy.
- Ensure all opportunities are documented in Sikich’s CRM and follow internal sales governance protocols.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Managing Principal and Outsourcing Client Service Team to drive business and service offerings.
- Coordinate with service delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Participate in internal planning and strategy sessions to align sales efforts with business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Five plus years of proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in professional services or consulting.
- Understanding of Advisory Services such as Client Accounting Services, Governance Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity, SOC and other professional services is desired.
- Extensive professional network that could include member organizations, industry groups, former customers and additional relationships that the individual has experience working with to assist in pipeline development.
- Experience working with C-Level or equivalent client/prospect resources.
- Sales methodology training and experience with methodologies that would be akin to Solution Selling or some other type of methodology.
- Strong research and prospecting skills with the ability to uncover and articulate client needs.
- Self-starter and highly motivated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
