Scientist Analytics
Contributes to development projects, from laboratory to commercial manufacturing, as a subject matter expert in at least one particular discipline, by applying a broad range of scientific principles.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Scientist Analytics
- Demonstrates an in-depth broad scientific and operational knowledge for one development area and applies this to the analytical development;
- Independently designs and conducts analytical development experiments, assays, or procedures of considerable complexity with considerable discretion as to work details requiring complicated scientific analysis, operational planning and execution;
- Analyzes and interprets results, systems or procedures; troubleshoots failed experiments, assays or procedures; and makes changes as appropriate;
- Exercises sound technical judgment to solve a wide range of scientific problems;
- Overcomes obstacles and develops experimental approaches;
- Recommends new and innovative solutions to problems utilizing high degree of scientific creativity, independent thought and proficiency;
- Assists, counsels and coordinates project or departmental activities and ensures the flow of communications and/or interim supervisory functions;
- Interprets and effectively communicates complex scientific findings in one-on-one discussions, and department and functional meetings;
- Fosters team based approach to process development;
- Keeps abreast of current and new science and technological developments with regard to literature/publication within field of specialty and exploits them to continuously improve functional area capabilities;
- Provides first-authored, complete, and quality internal and external reports on technical achievements;
- Contributes to scientific literature and conferences;
- Participates in the development of patent applications;
- Ensures that laboratory documentation is well-maintained.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- B.S in chemistry, biochemistry or related field;
- Hands-on experience in development, validation and transfer of HPLC and CGE methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S in chemistry, biochemistry or related field and 6+ years of hands-on experience in development, validation and transfer of HPLC and CGE methods or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field and 4+ years of hands-on experience in development, validation and transfer of HPLC and CGE methods or Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $106,399 - $139,598. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
