- Provides leadership that results in meeting and/or exceeding customer satisfaction targets for patients/families, physicians, and employees.
- Collaborates with staff, medical leadership, and other interdisciplinary health care personnel to ensure safe and effective care that meets/exceeds regulatory requirements and professional industry standard.
- Manages financial resources effectively and efficiently that results in meeting and/or exceeding financial targets. Manages human resources effectively and efficiently.
- Establishes effective means of intra and inter unit/departmental communications.
- Advocates for the patient/family rights and educates patient/family concerning their responsibilities. Provides leadership for continuous performance improvement and staff development.
- Creates an environment of high performance expectations, exhibits qualities of an effective leader, and serves as a leader/role model via professional development.
- BSN required
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 or more years job related experience in a clinical nursing leadership role as head of a multiple unit service at a level I or II trauma center.
- Nursing leadership experience, having had operational responsibility for inpatient cardiovascular nursing Experience required
- Experience with a MAGNET Hospital Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center preferred.
- Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
