Clinical Therapist – Indiana Treatment Centers
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (rotating on call in future may be required)

We’re seeking a Clinical Therapist to deliver evidence-based therapies that empower clients to achieve their treatment goals. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assessment & Planning – Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, screenings, and evaluations to inform individualized treatment.
- Therapy Services – Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT).
- Treatment Planning – Collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans tailored to their needs, goals, and ASAM criteria.
- Documentation – Complete timely and accurate progress notes, assessments, and reports consistent with DSM-5, ASAM, and facility standards.
- Care Coordination – Collaborate with courts, probation, community providers, and referral sources when appropriate.
- Client Advocacy – Support clients and families within the program and connect them with community resources.
- Reporting – Provide progress updates to courts, probation, or other entities as required.
- Professional Development – Participate in training, supervision, and continuing education to maintain and expand clinical competency.
- Leadership Support – May supervise interns or volunteers as assigned by the Lead Therapist.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Addictions).
- Practicum, internship, or post-graduate experience in behavioral health, preferably in substance use disorder treatment.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong communication and documentation skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred:
- Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor – Associate (LCAC-A) or willingness to obtain and pursue full LCAC.
- Proficiency in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
- Experience in residential or acute psychiatric/substance use treatment settings.
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Environment: Indoor, environmentally controlled clinical setting; possible exposure to contagious conditions and emotionally volatile situations.
- Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motions; ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Communication: Frequent interaction with clients, families, colleagues, and external agencies via email, phone, video, and in-person meetings.
