The Opportunity
Distribution, Australian Steel Products is looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join the Westall team based in Clayton South. The Distribution business includes Orrcon Steel Distribution, BlueScope Distribution, Metalcorp and Impact Steel.
As the Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management of the stock within the warehouse in terms of accuracy and quality. Your analytical and ‘thinking-outside-of-the-box’ skills will thrive in this opportunity and support the organisation with respect to inventory management, product quality and distribution of our products.

What Will You Do?
Success in this role will see you:
- supporting the optimisation of inventory and stock availability in line with strategic direction
- managing stock movement including product receipting and order confirmations
- schedule and execute cycle stock counts and reconcile count results in SAP
- accurately report, document and follow up on quality issues
- successfully build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Despatch Coordinators, operations staff and the sales teams
- continually guide and recommend solutions when issues and new challenges arise daily

- experience in inventory management, planning and supply chains

- an ability to follow standard processes and identify improvement opportunities
- an understanding of inventory planning systems, ERP (SAP, WMS)
