Since 1977, Sojourner Center has been a safe haven from domestic violence for women and their children in Arizona. Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. We provide a broad spectrum of services to victims of domestic violence, while working with professionals in the field on education, research and advocacy with the goal of ending domestic violence.
Job Summary: The Donation Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Donation Resource Center program servicing the entire organization to meet program and participant needs. The Manager’s responsibilities include developing, planning, supervising and evaluating program services and resources by ensuring mission-centered and strong community partnerships and donor relationships. Ensures successful collaboration between all Sojourner Center staff and departments to maximize service excellence. Ensures follow a trauma-informed approach and aligns with Sojourner Center’s philosophy of care. Supports strong working relationships between support service and direct service functions.
Schedule: Exempt
Rate of Pay: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 Annually
Responsibilities:- Recognizes and effectively responds to impacts of domestic violence, human trafficking and trauma; identifies/adapts to crisis events, taking appropriate actions while providing direct services as necessary.
- Supervise the Donation Resource team (Donation Resource Coordinator and Donation Resource Specialist).
- Organize and track the schedules of the team, donation hours and shopping hours.
- Develop, retain, and enhance a strategy to reduce the organization’s general operating costs by cultivating donations of in-kind services through community partnerships and donations (increase revenue).
- Accurate and timely reporting of in-kind donations, donation records, inventory, voucher use.
- Work with the finance team to ensure all donations are tracked and recorded properly as in-kind revenue.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations to process excess donations.
- Strategically manage in-kind drives and in-kind partnerships on behalf of the agency.
- Oversight of the development and maintenance of processes to best align with retail practices (i.e. stock rotation, reallocating excess stock, inventory management).
- Accept donations and support other functions of the Donation Resource Center as needed.
- Provide friendly, compassionate service to participants, donors and staff.
- Oversight of Donation Resource Center cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Oversight of streamlining and improving participant experience (i.e. intake process, basic needs, shopping experience).
- Strategically evaluate the DRC program, based on the administration of participant and staff satisfaction surveys and feedback.
- Creates and maintains Donation Resource Center policies and procedures and trains staff on them as needed.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Working closely with all Sojourner Center’s Program Managers and Co-Directors, recognizes and effectively responds to impacts of domestic and sexual violence; additionally, provides ongoing training for staff regarding recognition of and supportive interventions for domestic and sexual violence survivors.
- Discerns and prioritizes needs of program participants, staff, and the agency and takes appropriate action to efficiently and effectively meet the needs utilizing critical thinking, team problem solving, program development, and involvement with all levels of management, as appropriate.
- Promotes open communication and contributes to an environment of trust and mutual respect.
- Supervision of the DRC Coordinator to provide oversight for DRC operations and donor acknowledgment.
- Recognizes, values, and affirms social diversity that contributes richness to the Sojourner Center community, ensuring cultural competency in the provision of services.

- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience providing direct service to clients in a social services setting
- Program management and operations experience
- Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Sojourner Center’s insurance company.
