What You Will Be Doing:
As the Health Program Manager 1, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and integrity of services provided to seniors and individuals experiencing disabilities. Reporting to the Health Program Manager 2, you will lead the implementation and evaluation of quality assurance activities that support the Division’s mission.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing provider and recipient complaints, as well as critical incident reports submitted from a wide range of sources across the state. Additionally, you will oversee the entire mortality reporting process for the Division, ensuring that all aspects are managed with accuracy, sensitivity, and efficiency.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in Anchorage. Team members and supervisors are located at 1835 Bragaw Street, Suite 350, in Anchorage, Alaska.
This location is convenient to numerous shops, restaurants, and trails. This position is scheduled for a 7.5-hour workday; start and stop times can be flexible between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm.
Telework is possible for this position after completing training and obtaining approval from the Division Director.

Special Note: Agencies employing Health Program Managers are responsible for administering a wide range of medical, behavioral, and social health insurance programs for children and adults. Positions typically focus on a particular health area. Where licensure is required, the job vacancy announcement will identify the type of license necessary to apply for that specific position. The essential functions of some positions may involve exposure to infectious diseases and/or biohazards. Travel may be required.
