We are a nonprofit dedicated to delivering prescriptions,  medical and dental care to underserved communities, and we are looking for a part-time, remote grant writer who wants to combine flexibility with meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated success in securing nonprofit funding, ideally in healthcare or social services.
- Strong writing, research, and storytelling skills.
- Independence, reliability, and a commitment to deadlines.
 

Your Role:
- Research and identify grant opportunities across foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Write compelling proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
- Partner with leadership to highlight the urgent need for access to prescriptions, medical and dental care.

Requirements


  • Proven experience in researching, writing, and securing grants for nonprofits (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
     
  • Demonstrated track record of successful grant awards, particularly from foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
     
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling, persuasive proposals.
     
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and align them with organizational needs.
     
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
     
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, Google Workspace) and familiarity with grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online, Grants.gov).
     
  • Commitment to the mission of providing healthcare to underserved communities.

Preferred:

  • Experience writing grants in the healthcare, dental, or social services sectors.
     
  • Familiarity with outcome measurement and program evaluation, translating data into strong narrative.
     
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and foundation grant processes, compliance, and reporting.
     
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master’s degree a plus, but not required if experience is strong).
     
  • Membership in professional networks such as the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) or Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
