General Summary: The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day marketing and communication’s strategies. Support the Goodwill SCWI Marketing Department in developing, deploying, and analyzing results of the annual marketing plan, while serving as a steward of the Goodwill brand and mission.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with development of annual marketing plan to optimize tactics while strengthening brand awareness. Provide logistical and coordination support across marketing projects and initiatives while researching target market and trends.
- Analyze data, provide insights, and present recommendations in monthly reports to measure and track ROI.
- Collaborate as part of the marketing team on content strategy, creative campaigns, and the development of creative assets.
- Administrative support of content planning and calendar.
- Assist with content development for internal and external communications to include but not limited to briefing documents, presentations, surveys, newsletters, website, fact sheets, video scripts, annual report, media alerts, and advertisements.
- Generate target market or audience insights by engaging with internal and external constituents.
- Track and report data for monthly marketing reports for leadership and other key stakeholders to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Provide exceptional service and creative solutions to cross functional departments to increase the resources needed to carry out our mission.
- Maximize engagement across a range of touchpoints utilizing a storytelling framework to convey the value of our mission and the people we serve.
- Database management across all marketing contact lists.
- Help coordinate and support community activations and assist with event staffing, including volunteer recruitment.
- Complete administrative tasks to coordinate marketing communications and mailings.
- Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, familiarity with CRM, preferably HubSpot; Canva; and web platform WordPress.
- Experience with Adobe a plus.
- Comfort working with data, including data input, creating reports, and analyzing trends.
- Interest in sustainability, upcycling, thrifting, fashion and/or community service preferred.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle simultaneous priorities and competing deadlines.
- Ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality on a wide spectrum of topics and issues for which discretion is required.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance.
Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 25%.
Required education and/or work experience:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in retail, marketing, service industry or non-profit.
