General Purpose:

Prepare daily general accounting journal entries for Cash and Revenue Cycle. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, and with A/P Processing and PO matching, where needed. Help improve and implement policies and procedures related to Cash Receipts and General Accounting tasks.


Essential Duties/Position Responsibilities:


Cash Receipts – 

  • Prepare, review and post Cash and Revenue Cycle entries daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Maintain entity and account crosswalk for Revenue Cycle interface from EPIC patient billing system.
  • Assist the Revenue Cycle Team in the reconciliation of weekly cash not yet posted to patient accounts. 
  • Serve as the liaison between clinic front-desk cash operations and bank, to set-up new credit card terminals and cash collection procedures. 
  • Monitor bank activity to record Grant deposits to proper grant codes.

General Accounting – 

  • Manage the daily accounting functions of the operation to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Prepare reconciliations and adjustments as needed to keep the general ledger accurate, current and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Perform month-end processes including preparing account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, reviewing credit card activity for proper authorization and coding, and accruing for services received but not yet invoiced.
  • Assist with A/P Processing, PO matching, and annual 1099 reporting as needed.
  • Assist with annual external audit requests as needed.
  • Perform all duties thoroughly, accurately and in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA candidate a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Nonprofit experience a plus
  • Healthcare experience a plus


Skills & Expertise:

  • Must have knowledge of procedures relating to general accounting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to interact with company personnel, vendors, and other internal and external parties with team-based professionalism and courtesy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and adhere to STRIDE policies and protocols.
  • Information management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel (comfortable with functions such as Vlookup and pivot tables).


Tools you’ll use:

  • Accounting software, such as Multiview, MAS90, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Microsoft Office products


Working Environment and Physical Activities:

Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse, and key-board. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Communicate information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making 


Work Schedule:

This position exempt and may require work outside standard hours/shifts and in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.


We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000-80,000, depending on your experience.

This range reflects STRIDE’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
